Air conditioning on trains - apparently excessive sometimes - if working at all?
I am posting here on behalf of SWMBO, who travelled by train from Exeter back to home in Nailsea this afternoon, on something like the second hottest day of the year yet recorded.
Apparently, the train's air conditioning was working - so much so that several other passengers complained to the train manager that it was 'too cold'. He ruefully explained to them that he couldn't moderate it: the air conditioning was either 'on' or 'off'.
I have no way of verifying the veracity of this anecdotal experience, but it did amuze me.
