MV Balmoral returns to Bristol Sunday 8th June

Heartening news for those of us who are keen to see the Balmoral return to service after two years laid up at M Shed. Following a trip to Sharpness for her 5 year marine MOT, she returns up the Avon tomorrow lunchtime arriving at Hotwells at around 1445 and then into the Floating Harbour. Now all is needed is another ^200k.

Wouldn't have been possible if this had happened - the berth by M Shed wouldn't have been accessible.

I'm not sure if she has been able to run any public services for a dozen years ... she's been laid up outside the "M" Shed for quite a while.  She was open for public visits yesterday, and with folk singing in the open bar.
