I understand that a bus WAS provided this morning for the 06:44 cancellation .... it called at the station at around 20 past seven.

Thanks, Lee .... you'll find that they didn't even bother to lay on a bus yesterday and passengers from Melksham had to phone up to get them to arrange a taxi. I think I could describe the treatment given to the people of Melksham as an "insult" and a "slap in the face".
There has allways been the problem at Melksham, it was bad enough with the proper rail rep. services back 2 OctoberSRe: 0619 Swindon to Westbury Service Cancelled (05/02/2007) Posted by grahame at 09:01, 6th February 2007 |

Note - I will generally post groups of cancelled journeys , but in the case of the Trans Wilts Line , I will make an exception and post single cancelled journeys. This is because the Trans Wilts service was reduced to 4 trains a day from December 2006 , which means that each cancelled train cuts the service by 25%.
